There are many differences between Security Steel Door and ordinary doors:

1. Security performance

Security Steel Door: Made of high-strength steel, it has excellent anti-theft performance. According to the "General Technical Conditions for Anti-theft Security Doors", qualified security steel doors can resist damage from ordinary hand tools such as chisels, screwdrivers, crowbars and portable power tools such as hand drills within 15 minutes, and prevent 615 square millimeters of opening on the door leaf, or 38 square millimeters of opening within a 150 square millimeter semicircle of the locking point. Equipped with special locks with anti-drilling function that have passed the inspection of the Ministry of Public Security Testing Center, they are often equipped with multi-directional locks, and the upper and lower crossbars can be inserted and locked.
Ordinary doors: Weak anti-theft and other security performance, mostly to meet the needs of passage and simple separation of spaces, low material strength, poor lock security, and easy to be pried or damaged.

2. Material and structure

Security Steel Door: Use high-quality steel, such as 302 and 304 grades of stainless steel for stainless steel security doors. The thickness of the door frame steel plate is not less than 2cm, and the thickness of the steel plate on the front and back of the door leaf is generally between 0.8 and 1cm. There are skeletons and reinforcement plates inside the door leaf, and the structure is strong and has strong impact and deformation resistance.
Ordinary door: Various materials, such as wood, ordinary steel plate, aluminum alloy, etc. Ordinary wooden doors are susceptible to moisture, deformation, and damage; ordinary steel doors are not as thick and strong as security steel doors; aluminum alloy doors focus on beauty and lightness, and are less strong than security steel doors.

3. Production standards and certification

Security Steel Door: Implement strict national mandatory standards, must have a test certificate from a statutory testing agency, and a security technology prevention product production permit issued by the security technology prevention department of the provincial public security department (bureau) where the manufacturer is located, and there will also be a "FAM" mark.
Ordinary doors: Mostly implement corporate standards, there is no unified and strict safety standards and certification requirements, and the quality and safety vary greatly.

4. Durability

Security Steel Door: Steel is corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant. After anti-rust and anti-corrosion treatment, it can withstand harsh environments and has a long service life.
Ordinary Door: Durability varies depending on the material. Wooden doors are easily damaged by insects and moisture; ordinary steel doors are prone to rust; some materials of doors are prone to aging and deformation under wind and sun.
